 Timeline ...

 My start date was in September 2006 as an assistant Manager, then promoted after 8 months to GM role running smaller unit. After 18 months moved to run Marylebone - the flag ship site -  and in February 2012 promoted to Senior GM role.

I started  in 2010.  My first role was a food runner & I  didn’t have a clue about seafood! Thanks to the brilliant people that trained me step by  step, I was promoted to waitress,  then shift manager and just after I finished my marketing degree I was welcomed into the HQ.

I joined FishWorks in January 2011. My first position was kitchen porter. I was new to the UK and my  English was not  that great... I really appreciate the opportunity and chance I was given. The whole team was really supportive as well and that made me feel more confident.

Every day is different but I try to treat every day as special and my "favourite". I don't really have one  to name and describe.

 I am always passionate about the dynamics in my life and work: "fortune favours the bold".  My favourite day used to be Saturday - crazy busy.

My first day as a fishmonger! It was exciting, because I was the first one tin o welcome the guests & I was delighted to be entrusted with this responsibility.

Currently...

Senior GM - I'm a vital link between our senior Ops team & Fishworks sites. I'm proud because I'm able to oversee all the aspects of the running of a successful brand & restaurants and I try to make a difference for my customers, employees and the company.

Currently…

  My current role is Marketing Executive. I take care  of FishWorks & another brand under the company umbrella. This is my challenge. I also  receive great mentoring from the senior operations team about successful business and operations.

Currently…

I am a fishmonger and I am proud! All of the seafood that is served in our restaurant firstly comes to me. I check the quality and prepare it for  cooking, so my input is really important on a day to day basis.

The fish dish...

I am a true foodie. And I never have one favourite dish as I keep exploring and developing new things. I am a big fan of lesser known species of fish and really like the Devon ray which we serve very classically, with black butter and capers.

My favourite dishes are  South Coast scallops and yellow-fin tuna - can’t choose one, both are mouth-watering! FishWorks have also changed my perception about cooking fish - it is actually very easy and simple, ask our fishmongers for tips!

The fish dish…

Sea bream - the whole fish which we cook with tomatoes, oliveas and potatoes. It is also called Dorada in different parts of the world! I highly recommend it baked in salt... it is something special - very flavoursome and juicy....
